Uniform requirments

         Mini Stars - Pink Group

All pupils in this group will need the following uniform for exam day:

         Dazzling Stars & Shooting Stars -                                Purple Group

All pupils in this group will need the following uniform for exam day:

  • Starlight Dance Studios t-shirt

  • Black ballet shoes

  • Black Jazz Shoes

  • Plain black socks

         Shining Stars - Lilac Group

​

All pupils in this group will need the following uniform for exam day:

  • Lilac Lycra skirt

  • Lilac Lycra leotard

  • White Lycra footless tights

  • Pink ballet shoes

  • Black tap shoes

  • Plain white socks

         Blazing Stars -  Trainee Teachers

​

All pupils in this group will need the following uniform for exam day:

​

  • Blue Lycra leotard

  • Black Lycra footless tights

  • Starlight Dance Studios t-shirt

  • Black ballet shoes

  • Black tap shoes

  • Black Jazz Shoes

  • Plain black socks

Please ensure all pupils shoes are labelled with their names as we take no responsibility for lost items.

Hair requirments

For exam day, all students should have their hair in a neat, secure bun positioned the back of the head. Please use a bun net and plain hair grips that match your child’s hair colour as closely as possible. Any fringes or shorter pieces must be kept off the face and secured with grips, gel, or similar products - no fancy bobbles or hair clips please.

I’ll have a small selection of bun nets and bun donuts available at classes to purchase if you need them (bun nets 50p, donuts £1).

​

You’ll also find a short tutorial below showing how to create a simple, secure bun. And as always, we’ll have a hairdressing station available at classes for anyone who needs a little extra help, so there’s no need to worry.

Pupils do NOT need makeup for exam day.

Please note that timings may vary slightly depending on how the exams progress, so keep an eye on your WhatsApp group for any updates throughout the day.

 

It’s really important that all pupils arrive on time, as we’re unable to allow late entries into the exam room.

​

Pupils should ARRIVE in full uniform with their hair already done and shoes in hand. If you need support with hair, please come a little earlier so we can keep everything running smoothly.

​

Parents will not be permitted inside the building. All younger pupils must be signed in on arrival and signed out again at pick up.

​

Finally, please make sure we have your correct and up‑to‑date contact details.

If you have any problems at all, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. We want the day to feel calm and enjoyable for everyone, and we’re always here to support you.

Once exam day begins at 10:00am, I won’t be able to answer the studio phone personally as I’ll be fully focused on running the sessions and supporting the pupils. However, a member of the team will have my phone with them throughout the day. They’ll be available to answer any questions, pass on messages, or help with anything that may come up, so you’ll never be left without a point of contact.
